Course Outline
This two-part online course – developed by the certified instructors at UChapter2 – is ideal for entry-level architectural or engineering designers, apprentices, tradespersons, project coordinators, estimators, specialty sales reps, or anyone in career transition looking for a practical refresher.
Whether you’re on the jobsite or in the office, it’s a solid first step toward better project collaboration.
Designed to quickly build confidence, this course covers the fundamentals of how to read and understand construction documents. From identifying title block information to reviewing floor plans, elevations, and combing through specification sections, participants will learn how to navigate a full set of drawings and interpret material and construction requirements with clarity.
We will use Bluebeam software in the course delivery, but this is not Bluebeam functionality training.

Course Format
Instructor Led Training – Live and Online
This course is delivered live online by the instructor via ZOOM. Access details and course materials (if applicable) will be provided to you in advance of the training.
Please note: Some courses may require specific software (e.g., Bluebeam Revu). Please ensure you have any required applications installed before class begins.
Course Requirements (Technology and Participation)
This course requires full, face to face interaction between the instructor and participants. Each participant will need their own computer and quiet space. To attend and successfully complete the training, please ensure you have the following:
- Computer or Laptop WITH Webcam
- A webcam is required for live participation and engagement with the instructor and classmates.
- You will view slides, videos and other content, and interact through chat and discussions.
- Tablets and cellphones are NOT permitted.
- Reliable Internet Connection
- A stable, high speed connection is required for smooth audio and video throughout the session.
- Quiet, Distraction Free Space
- Plan to be fully engaged during the class. Please clear your work schedule just as you would for an in person session.
- Full Attendance
- Attendance for the entire scheduled duration of the course is required to receive a Certificate of Completion.

- Refunds: Cancellations made at least 5 business days before the course date will receive a full refund.
- Transfers: If you can’t attend, you may transfer your registration to a future session of the same course (if available) at no extra cost, provided the request is made at least 5 business days before the course date.
- No-Shows: Participants who do not attend (“no-shows”) will not receive a refund or transfer.

E-Learning Cancellation Policy
- Refunds: Cancellations made before course access is issued will receive a full refund.
- After Start: Once a participant has been given access to the e-learning course, no refunds or transfers will be provided.
